# Endpoint availability

> Discover available endpoints and handle lifecycle errors.

Endpoint availability can change without an SDK or CLI upgrade. Read the live catalog at
`https://scrapebadger.com/api/public/endpoint-catalog`, use `await client.endpoints()` in Python or Node.js,
or run `scrapebadger endpoints` in the CLI.

| Status | HTTP response | What to do |
| - | - | - |
| Active | Normal endpoint response | Call the endpoint normally. |
| Temporarily unavailable | 423 | Try again later. Do not repeatedly retry the same request. |
| Deprecated | 410 | Stop using the endpoint and choose an available alternative. |

Unavailable and deprecated requests do not reach the scraper and do not consume credits.
Endpoints removed from public discovery return a generic 404 response. The live catalog omits them.

The playground marks temporarily unavailable and deprecated endpoints. Public marketing lists show active endpoints.
MCP and CLI discovery refresh from the live catalog. Documentation is reconciled automatically;
Mintlify publication can lag the live API while the documentation update deploys.

Existing installed SDK methods remain callable, but the API enforces the current status on every request.
Use live discovery to build endpoint selectors instead of keeping a permanent local list.
